1. A locking system, comprising:
an acetabular cup having a wall with an inner surface and an outer surface, the acetabular cup including a fixation opening with a curved surface through the wall; an insert configured to be received in the fixation opening, the insert includes a through bore and a plurality of expansion members disposed at an outer surface of the insert, the through bore including a first wall portion configured to be positioned adjacent to the inner surface and a second wall portion configured to be positioned adjacent to the outer surface; and a fixation fastener including a head and a shaft with a bone-anchoring portion, the fastener insertable through the through bore, the head including a first head portion engageable with the first wall portion and a second head portion engageable with the second wall portion. |
