For failure interval determination, a determination module determines a failure interval for transactions in a transaction queue based on a number of processed transactions. A transaction timeout module fails a first transaction in response to the first transaction not processing within the failure interval.

a determination module determining a failure interval for transactions in a transaction queue based on a number of processed transactions, wherein the transaction queue stores transactions prior to processing by a first storage system; and a transaction timeout module failing a first transaction in response to the first transaction not processing within the failure interval, wherein at least a portion of the determination module and the transaction timeout module comprise one or more of hardware and executable code, the executable code stored on one or more computer readable storage media.
