Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and an apparatus for determining a signaling channel location. The method comprises: a terminal selecting a data channel in at least one channel; on the selected data channel, the terminal reading signaling channel indication information; and the terminal determining a location of a signaling channel according to the signaling channel indication information. According to the method and the apparatus for determining a signaling channel location in the embodiments of the present invention, time of a terminal for searching for a signaling channel can be shortened, and time required by the terminal to access a communications system can be shortened, thereby improving the access efficiency.
