A spotted portion of a test piece is easily and surely brought into contact with a blood drop obtained by puncturing to thereby prevent measurement errors. A blood glucose meter (a device for measuring blood component) (10a) comprising a front attachment part (30) to which a test piece (12) is attached, a measurement part (32) for measuring a component of blood that is collected via a blood guide passage (24) in the test piece (12) attached to the front attachment part (30), and a monitor (34) for displaying the measurement results obtained by the measurement part (32). When the device is placed on a horizontal plane by referring to the display face of the monitor (34) as the upper side and the opposite side thereof as the lower side and placing the display face of the monitor (34) upward, the central axis line (C) of the test piece (12) extends obliquely downward toward the front side. The blood glucose meter (10a) comprises a main part (44) provided with the monitor (34) and a linking part (46) located between the main part (44) and the front attachment part (30). The top face (46a) of the linking part (46) is placed roughly parallel to the central axis line (C) and provided with an ejector lever (36). |
