342,423. Revaporizing and storing liquefied gases. GES. FUR INDUSTRIEGASVERWERTUNG, 91, Gradestrasse, Britz, Berlin. Nov. 21, 1929, No. 35710. Convention date, Jan. 5. [Class 8 (ii).] Liquefied gas is transferred from a low-pressure transport vessel a to a vaporizer c by a pump b on the piston of which is secured a power piston q acted upon by the gases evolved in the transport vessel a, while an extension rod i above this piston is driven by means not shown through a connecting- rod k. The gases pass through a pipe l and valves n, n<1> alternately opened and closed by the rod i and exhausted through valves t, t<1> similarly actuated, to a pipe m having a check valve. A valve y prevents flow of gas when the gas pressure in the vessel a is too low ; valves s, s<1> are then opened to equalize the pressures on the sides of the piston.
|
