Provided are a data processing method and device, which relate to the technical field of computers, and reduce the data processing load of a central processing unit and improve the data processing quality by invoking the corresponding functions of a graphics processing unit. The method comprises: conducting partition defragmentation on data through a multilayer partition, and storing the data on which the partition defragmentation is conducted in a first buffer; invoking the data from the first buffer and conducting multilayer shuffling, wherein the multilayer shuffling is to conduct grouping and statistical processing on the data according to the common feature of the data, and the multilayer shuffling comprises inner-layer shuffling and outer-layer shuffling; counting the data on which the multilayer shuffling is conducted and storing same in a second buffer; and merging the data in the second buffer through a merging function and caching the merged data in a result buffer. The embodiments of the present invention are applied to the computer data processing technology. |
