[Problem] To provide an information processing device, control method, program, and recording medium whereby information associated with an operator operating a laser pointer is clearly shown in correspondence with an indicating point displayed on a remote side, allowing a smooth teleconference connecting a plurality of distant locations. [Solution] An information processing device provided with a recognition unit that recognizes the position of an illuminated point due to a laser pointer on a projected image, an acquisition unit that acquires information associated with the operator of said laser pointer, and a first transmission unit that transmits the position of the illuminated point and the information associated with the operator to a remote side in order to display the following, in addition to the aforementioned projected image, on a display device on the remote side: a remote illuminated point at a coordinate position corresponding to the abovementioned illuminated point; and the information associated with the abovementioned operator.
