<p>A canned electromagnetic machine stator for a rotary machine operating in a corrosive atmosphere under a high pressure, comprises at least one coil (132, 133), a core (131) made of magnetic material, the core (131) including pole pieces and at least one slot for accommodating the at least one coil (132, 133) and a leak-tight can (134) for hermetically sealing the stator. The stator further comprises a spacer (140, 150) located between the can (134) and the core (131) to cover the at least one slot, the spacer (140, 150) limiting deflection of the can (134) around edges of the at least one slot and being designed to withstand the high pressure.</p> |
