A long-term cooling system of a nuclear reactor containment structure includes: a containment structure in which a nuclear reactor is contained; a pressure vessel which contains condensate inside and a containing space, having at least a part which is lower than the floor of the containment structure, is formed therein; a discharging pipe which connects the inside of the containment structure and the inside of the pressure vessel so as to flow fission product and steam, which are generated in the containment structure in case of emergency, into the pressure vessel; and a retrieval pipe which connects the inside of the containment structure and the inside of the pressure vessel so as to flow the condensate in the pressure vessel to the containment structure. The condensate flows from the pressure vessel into the containment structure in the case that the water level of the condensate in the pressure vessel rises higher than the water level of the containment structure.
