An exhaust device 16 of a multi-cylinder engine which connects two spaced apart exhaust passages 14, each exhaust passage having a communicating hole 17. A base plate member 18 has through holes 20 communicating with the communicating holes, and a cover plate member 19 covers the outside of the base plate member 18. The outer circumferential area of each through hole overlaps the outer surface of an exhaust passage, and the entire outer circumferential area of the through hole is fixedly attached (e.g. welded) to the exhaust passage. The edge portions 19c on both sides of the cover plate member are fixedly attached to the base plate member or exhaust passages so as to surround the outer side of the through hole, and the area 19a, 19b extending between edge portions of the cover plate member is fixedly attached to edge portions of the base plate member. |
