<p>Provided are: a method for controlling the pH of wastewater, said method being capable of controlling the pH of wastewater efficiently through use of peat moss by simple constitution; a pH controlling apparatus; and a wastewater treatment system. The present invention pertains to a pH controlling apparatus (1) in which the pH of wastewater is controlled by: making a decay fungus act on peat moss (15) and thus forming humic acid; bringing wastewater, which is to be treated, into contact with the resulting peat moss (15); and controlling the pH of the wastewater with the humic acid. The pH controlling apparatus (1) comprises: peat moss (15) that bears a decay fungus; a vessel (21) that can hold the peat moss (15) in a wet and aerobic state; and an environment-forming means for keeping the peat moss (15) in the vessel (21) in a wet and aerobic state. The environment-forming means is a siphon (39) which is set in the vessel (21). The inside of the vessel (21) is maintained in a tidal state by the siphon (39), whereby the peat moss (15) is kept in a wet and aerobic state.</p> |
