In order to carry out a bioelectric impedance analysis (BIA) of the body of a person, multiple input electrodes which emit a current pulse and multiple sensitive output electrodes which measure the voltage drop are brought into contact with the surface of the body, the voltage drop between the output electrodes of individual body sections are measured, and the obtained measurement values in combination with statistical data for example are converted into a body structure and visceral risk analysis. The aim of the invention is to allow a person to carry out a stomach, stomach-to-hand, and hand-to-hand BIA, in which four hand electrodes and four stomach electrodes are combined with one another, on himself or herself in a simple manner without the often extensive complexity of the wiring arrangement on the person's body. According to the invention, this is achieved by a measuring template (2) which is designed in the shape of a bicycle handlebar. The template has four stomach electrodes in the two central template portions (6, 7) on the template lower face and two hand electrodes (12, 12') in each handle (8, 9) on the template upper face (4), and the template is held in a defined position with reproducible precision in a simple manner by means of the person to be analyzed using a specified arm position and is pressed against the stomach in an adaptive manner. |
