Spectacles.-A pair of spectacles comprises a bridge 5, frames 1, 2 and sides 7 of practically normal appearance when open, and foldable so that the front of one frame lies close to and directly behind the other, and the foldable sides, each consisting of limbs 7<1>, 7" folded together, both lie against the back of the first-mentioned frame. The frames fold upon substantially parallel pivots 3, 4 and together with the sides may be folded into the position shown in Fig. 3. The hinge 12 of one side is in a different plane to that of the hinge 11 to facilitate folding, and the pivots 3, 4 pass through metal bushings in the frames 1, 2.
