HYBRID -POWER MULTIPLE UNIT TRACTION SYSTEM USING CONTACT WIRE AND ENERGY SAVING APPARATUS

A hybrid -power multiple unit traction system using a contact wire and an energy saving apparatus comprises a traction transformer, an energy saving apparatus, a traction inverter, a traction motor, and the like. A primary-side winding of the traction transformer is connected to a contact wire through a pantograph, two secondary-side windings of the traction transformer are directly connected to the traction inverter, the traction inverter is connected to the traction motor, and the energy saving apparatus is connected to the traction inverter through a direct current bus bar. The traction system can be run on both an electrical line and a non-electrical line. In a working condition without a contact wire, the energy saving apparatus absorbs braking energy; in special weather of rain or snow or when a contact wire is damaged, the energy saving apparatus may serve as a mobile power source.
