The present invention relates to a shift register and a display device using the same. A shift register according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a plurality of stages for receiving clock signals of which phases are successively delayed, and successively generate outputs. Each of the stages includes an output unit which comprises: a pull-up control node charge unit for charging a pull-up control node to a first level voltage in response to a start signal or a previous-stage carry signal inputted through a start terminal; a pull-up control node discharge unit for discharging the pull-up control node to a second level voltage which is lower than the first level voltage in response to a next-stage carry signal inputted through a reset terminal; a first pull-down control node discharge unit for discharging the first pull-down control node to the second level voltage in response to the first level voltage of the pull-up control node; a first pull-down control node charge unit for charging the first pull-down control node to a third level voltage which corresponds to a level between the first and second level voltages in response to a clock signal inputted through a first clock terminal; a pull-up TFT for charging an output node to the clock signal inputted through the first clock terminal in response to the first level voltage of the pull-up control node; and a first pull-down TFT for discharging the output node to the second level voltage in response to the third level voltage of the first pull-down control node.
