<p>A method of verifying identity information of a webpage is performed at a computing device having one or more processors and memory storing programs executed by the one or more processors. After acquiring a webpage currently visited by a user of the computing device, the webpage including at least one image, the computing device extracts characteristics information from the image and compares the extracted characteristics information with characteristics information of a predefined set of login webpages to determine a similarity degree for each login webpage. If the similarity degree associated with one of the login webpages exceeds a predefined threshold, the computing device then determines whether the webpage is an authorized login webpage for a website and whether or not to render the webpage on the computing device. The computing device performs this verification process before rendering the webpage.</p> |
