<p>The frame 12 of a childs stroller is capable of being engaged with a child carrier or safety seat 14, the safety seat comprising a rear structural part 146. The stroller frame comprises: a main frame 122 which has a front handle support 1222; and an engaging device 124 disposed on the main frame where, when the child safety seat is placed on the stroller frame, the front handrail support supports the safety seat and engaging device is engaged with the rear structural member. The engaging device comprises a hook 1244 which is resiliently biased 1246 into engagement with the rear structural member. The engaging device may be pivoted into a storage position. The child safety seat may comprise a front engagement mechanism (144, fig 6) which may be hooked 1442 into engagement with the front handle support. The invention is intended to allow a child to remain within the child safety seat when it is removed from a vehicle and attached to the stroller frame, and vice versa.</p> |
