The invention relates to an antitheft device for a steering column of a motor vehicle, comprising: a bolt (7), which is mounted so as to be translatably movable in said device, between a position for locking the steering column and a position for releasing said column; and a latch (5), which is movable between a neutral position and an operating position, said antitheft device including a rotor and a means (8) for controlling the movement of said bolt (7), comprising: a cam (15) that is rigidly connected to said rotor in order to control the movement of said bolt (7); and a pull-bar (16), the movement of which is controlled by said cam (15). Said antitheft device further comprises a device for protecting said pull-bar (16), which extends at least partially around said pull-bar (16). The invention also relates to a steering column for a motor vehicle that includes such an antitheft device. |
