A basic circuit in a U-phase includes: first through fourth semiconductor elements (SU1.1 - SU1.4) connected between positive and negative electrodes of a DC voltage source (DCC1); a fifth semiconductor element (SU1.5) connected to a common node between the first and second semiconductor elements (SU1.1, SU1.2); and a sixth semiconductor element (SU1.6) connected to a common node between the third and fourth semiconductor elements (SU1.3, SU1.4). A flying capacitor (FC1) is interposed between the fifth semiconductor element (SU1.5) and the sixth semiconductor element (SU1.6). A voltage selection circuit uses the common node between the second and third semiconductor elements (SU1.2, SU1.3) for each basic circuit as an input terminal, and respectively has semiconductor elements (SU1 - SU4) between the input terminal and output terminals (U, V, W). Thereby, any voltage can be output from every phase in the multilevel power convertor, while control for outputting any voltage level from every phase can be simplified. |
