The present invention relates to a current sensor for fastening on a busbar (S) comprising a Hall sensor (2) which is encapsulated in a plastic housing (3), wherein the surface of the plastic housing (3) is designed to be mounted on the busbar (S) and connected thereto in a form-fitting and/or force-fitting and/or firmly bonded manner in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the busbar (S), more particularly in a predefined position relative to said busbar.
