This electronic device is equipped with: a display unit; an operation detection unit for detecting an operation by a control on the display unit; a measurement unit for measuring a contact interval; and a process execution unit for executing an application program corresponding to an image displayed on the display unit. The image includes a first image to be displayed on the display unit at a first size or at a second size which is smaller than the first size. The process execution unit displays textual information on the display unit if the control contacts the first image and the contact interval with the first image exceeds a first threshold, when the first image, which includes only the graphic representing the corresponding application program from the textual information and the graphic representing the corresponding application program, is being displayed at the second size on the display unit.
