The present invention relates to a method for producing acrylic acid from glycerol comprising the steps of: (a) producing a product comprising allyl alcohol from a reactant comprising glycerol and carboxylic acid; (b) producing a compound comprising 3-hydroxypropionic acid and acrylic acid by oxidizing the product comprising allyl alcohol after adding an heterogenous catalyst and a basic solution thereto; and (c) producing acrylic acid by dehydration-reacting the 3-hydroxypropionic acid in the mixture of 3-hydroxypropionic acid and acrylic acid.
