The present invention relates to the field of communications. Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a synchronizing signal transmitting method and device in an FBMC system for reducing synchronizing signal overhead and increasing spectrum efficiency. The method comprises: determining a time-frequency resource location where a synchronizing symbol is transmitted; determining a time-frequency resource location likely to cause interference with the synchronizing symbol; transmitting the synchronizing symbol in the time-frequency resource location and transmitting a protection symbol in the time-frequency resource location likely to cause interference with the synchronization symbol.
