A method and device for switching displayed pages, the method comprising: when acquiring an instruction to create a first tab page, creating a first page rendering subject and a second page rendering subject corresponding to the first tab page, rendering a current page via the first page rendering subject, rendering a previous page via the second tab page, saving and displaying the current page, and saving and concealing the previous page; when realizing a page back function, the process of switching displayed pages comprises: when acquiring an instruction to switch the current page to the previous page, displaying the saved previous page rendered via the second page rendering subject; and employing the first page rendering subject to render the previous page of the current page, and saving and concealing the previous page. The technical solution of the present invention improves the rate of switching displayed pages on a tab page.
