The invention relates to an electrode for an electrochemical energy storage means, wherein the electrode, having at least one conductive additive (12) and at least one reactant (30, 30a), is arranged between a wall (14), for example a separator, and a current collector (16). The electrode has a gradient with which the conductive additive (12) decreases in terms of proportion by volume from the current collector (16) in the direction of the wall (14). Furthermore, the present invention relates to an energy storage means equipped with the electrode, to a method for producing an electrode, and to the use of the energy storage means equipped with the electrode in an electrical appliance. Owing to the invention the electrode can be utilised optimally, as a result of which a higher charging and discharging rate can be achieved for a predefined charging and/or discharging capacity and a higher charging and/or discharging capacity can be achieved for a given charging and discharging rate of the electrode. |
