The structure (1) has a transversal beam (2) fixed to a chassis element, and a face bar skin for forming a front face of a motor vehicle. A pedestrian impact zone occupies a part of the structure between transversal end parts of the beam and face bar skin. A flexible energy absorption element (6) is placed between the beam and the skin in the impact zone. Rigid energy absorption elements (4) are placed on both sides of the flexible energy absorption element between the transversal end parts and around the pedestrian impact zone.
