<p>A method of determining the dimensions of sub-images of a source image for display by a multi-display system 100 comprising a plurality of display devices 105 interconnected by communication paths for transmission of image data wherein each sub-image is displayed by one or more of the display devices, the display devices being arranged relative to one another in accordance with a geometrical arrangement. The method comprises evaluating the transmission capacity of each communication path; partitioning the source image into sub-images based on the geometrical arrangement of the display devices, the sub-images comprising a plurality of edge-blending sub-images corresponding to regions of the source image for common display by at least two display devices. It is determined, for each edge blending sub-image an edge blending range representative of the dimension of an area of overlap of adjacent images displayed by display devices, based on geometrical parameters of said display devices; and determining the dimension of each sub-image to be displayed based on the evaluated transmission capacities of the communication paths and the determined edge blending ranges</p> |
