The present invention proposes an apparatus and method for controlling stability of a vehicle which uses a rotary actuator positioned in the middle of a stabilizer bar to generate a twisting force, thereby fixing pulling to the left or the right through the stabilizer bar. The proposed apparatus includes: an actuator which connects a first stabilizer bar connected to wheels on one side of the vehicle and a second stabilizer bar connected to wheels on the other side of the vehicle, and controls stability of the vehicle; a first electronic control device which detects the roll angle of the vehicle on the basis of sensing information acquired from sensors mounted on the vehicle while the vehicle is running; and a second electronic control device which calculates a torque for correcting the roll angle of the vehicle and controls the actuator on the basis of the torque. |
