The present invention relates to a hydraulic brake device for a wheel type construction machine. The hydraulic brake device for a wheel type construction machine comprises: a pump (10) which discharges a hydraulic fluid; a pressure reducing valve (20) which firstly reduces pressure so that the hydraulic fluid can be maintained at a basic set pressure; a control valve (30) which is opened by the operation of a brake pedal (32) in order to make the hydraulic fluid pass; an electronic proportional pressure reducing valve (100) which secondly reduces pressure so that the hydraulic fluid can be maintained at a correction set pressure; a hydraulic brake unit (60) which applies braking power to a wheel unit (50) by the hydraulic fluid where the correction set pressure is formed; and a control unit (200) which controls the electronic proportional pressure reducing valve (100) in order to reduce the basic set pressure to the correction set pressure. The hydraulic brake device can change the correction set pressure according to a control signal of the control unit (200).
