Composition (A) is a synergistic mixture of at least one each of (a) clothianidin, imidacloprid, thiacloprid, dinotefuran, acetamiprid, nitenpyram and thiamethoxam and (b) at least one of picoxystrobin, pyraclostrobin, dimoxystrobin, metominostrobin and orysastrobin. An independent claim is also included for seeds treated with (A). - ACTIVITY : Plant Antifungal; Insecticide; Acaricide; Arachnicide; Nematocide; Antifouling. - MECHANISM OF ACTION : Component (b) blocks electron transport in the respiratory chain in fungal cells, so inhibits production of ATP. Also, the new compositions mobilize the plant's own defense systems against microorganisms (fungi, bacteria and viruses).
