FURNACE FOR COMBUSTING SOLID FUEL

A furnace (1) is provided for combusting solid fuel comprising a combustion chamber (6) with an ashpit (25); an afterburning chamber (9), the bottom part of which is connected with a discharge part of the combustion chamber (6) provided with an orifice (18) for supplying secondary air to the afterburning chamber (9); a heat exchange chamber (11) positioned vertically and adjacent to the afterburning chamber (9) and provided inside with a heat exchanger (12), the upper part of the heat exchange chamber (11) is connected to the upper part of the afterburning chamber (9), and the bottom part of the heat exchange chamber (11) is connected to bottom part of a chimney flue (14). A novel feature is characterized in that the furnace (1) additionally comprises a feed bin (4), the walls of which form a chamber with a side window for feeding solid fuel and equipped with a feeding mechanism (5) to the combustion chamber (6); an injection means for injecting secondary air (16) from the feed bin chamber (4) into the orifice (18) for supplying secondary air; and gas supply duct (20) connecting the bottom part of the heat exchange chamber (11) with the chamber of the feed bin (4) and equipped with a means for gas injection (21) in the direction of the feed bin chamber (4). The furnace design injection (21) provides enhanced efficiency and improves intensity and effectiveness of the process of heat energy transfer to a heated working body reducing harmful discharges into the atmosphere.
