The present invention relates to an activity measurement method of an RNA polymerase, which comprises the steps of mixing an insulating pyrophosphatase with a biological sample including an RNA polymerase and converting pyrophosphate (PPi) generated during RNA polymerization into an inorganic phosphorus by reacting at 60-90°C for 1-30 minutes; and detecting the inorganic phosphorus by a phosphorus color developing agent. According to the present invention, the activity of RNA polymerase which is a necessary enzyme of virus can be rapidly and simply detected to check virus infections or the existence of a virus, while being used in drug screening through analysis of activity of RNA polymerase. |
