Disclosed is the rotor of an electric motor and an electric motor using the same. The rotor includes a core which includes protrusion parts radially formed along the outer edge and protruding to the outside, and concave parts formed between the protrusion parts, permanent magnets arranged in the concave parts, and magnetic poles arranged on the outside of the permanent magnets. The length of the axis direction of the magnetic pole is shorter than that of the length of the axis direction of the protrusion part.
