The invention relates to a mechanical hygrostat with contact lamination which maintains the relative humidity of the medium below/over a pre-calibrated threshold value in an installation. According to the invention, the hygrostat consists of a perforated cylindrical sheath () which comprises a sensitive element () made of a polyacrylamide hydrogel which increases/decreases its volume depending on the relative humidity of the medium and operates by means of an elastic membrane () for medium separation, a rod () with profiled tip, which has the role of providing the deformation of an elastic lamination (), for changing the condition of the contact lamination, when reaching the threshold value of the pre-calibrated relative humidity.
