Disclosed are a guided mode resonance filter and a gas detection device having the same. The guided mode resonance filter according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a substrate; a diffraction grid formed on the substrate; a high-refractive thin film formed on the diffraction grid; and a gas absorption pigment which is formed on the high-refractive thin film and absorbs gas from the air to represent optical changes.
