<p>A driving apparatus for a monorail is disclosed. The driving apparatus for a monorail according to the present invention comprises: a vehicle unit which moves by being combined with a rail where a rack gear is formed in the lower part thereof; and a bogie unit which is formed in the vehicle unit in order to drive along the rail by receiving current from a power unit. The bogie unit comprises: a sprocket which includes a gear tooth unit in order to be combined with the rack gear on the rail; and a driving motor which supplies power to the sprocket. Therefore, the driving apparatus for a monorail can provide strong driving force by providing the sprocket which is mounted in the driving unit in a car body and is geared into the rack gear in order to prevent a slip, and can significantly improve driving performance and ride comfort by reducing impact and noise through a roller.</p> |
