<p>The purpose of the present invention is to improve the flight distance of a ball by making a hitting point approach the most curved point. A reference point (Pr) is a position of a face surface (12A) that is vertically apart from a horizontal plane (P) upward by Z mm determined by formula 1 in the reference state of a golf club head (10). A first virtual plane (PX) is a virtual plane that passes an intersection point where the normal line of the face surface (12A) passing the reference point (Pr) intersects with a face rear surface (12B), and is parallel to the face surface (12A). A first virtual plane part (PX1) is a part of the first virtual plane (PX) passing a position where a face part (12) and a sole part (14) intersect with each other. A face-part-side thin-wall part (32) is installed on the face rear surface (12B) through the first virtual plane part (PX1) from the sole-part-side position of the face rear surface (12B).
