A solar cell module (10) includes a light-incident surface protective member (14), a back surface protective member (15), solar cell elements (13), and an encapsulating layer (11) that encapsulates the solar cell elements (13) between the light-incident surface protective member (14) and the back surface protective member (15). The volume resistance per square centimeter at 85° C. between the light-incident surface protective member (14) and the solar cell element (13) is in a range of 1×1013 &OHgr;·cm2 to 1×1017 &OHgr;·cm2.
