The present invention relates to a reward method and a reward system in an online game which assign a certain class to a user according to a cash usage history of the user and provide a benefit according to the user class. The rewarding method comprises the following steps of: (a) receiving a request for a reward; (b) determining whether to give a reward by retrieving a user class; (c) issuing a benefit code which has a value of a class downgraded by certain steps, and deleting game data; and (d) authenticating the user and the benefit code according to a request for the usage of the issued benefit code, and providing a certain reward according to the contents of the benefit code. As a result, by preventing users from leaving, the life span of a game can be extended, and the profits of a game company can be increased.
