摘要 <p>Disclosed is a method for controlling an active front wheel steering apparatus. The method for controlling the front wheel steering apparatus according to the present invention includes the steps of: inputting vehicle speed and a steering angle from a vehicle speed sensor and a steering angle sensor to an ECU; extracting a conversion ratio according to the vehicle speed received from the vehicle speed sensor based on a conversion table according to a predetermined vehicle speed; calculating a pinion target steering angle by applying the conversion ration according to the extracted vehicle speed to the steering angle received from the steering angle sensor; extracting a conversion ratio according to the calculated pinion target steering angle based on the conversion table according to a predetermined pinion steering angle; calculating the final pinion target steering angle by applying the extracted conversion ratio of the pinion target steering angle to the steering angle received from the steering angle sensor and to the extracted conversion ratio according to the vehicle speed; and controlling an active front steering (AFS) motor according to the calculated final pinion target steering angle.</p>
