PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of treating eosinophilic bronchitis in place of corticosteroids, which are extremely effective in suppressing eosinophil numbers and other inflammatory components of asthma and eosinophilic bronchitis but are causing concerns about their side effects both in severe asthmatics and more recently in mild to moderate asthmatics.SOLUTION: A composition comprising at least one anti-IL-5 antibody or a fragment thereof (e.g., Fv, Fab, F(ab)2 or the like) is administered to a human suffering from eosinophilic bronchitis. |
