PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for converting DC from one or more sources to AC power utilizing a novel partitioning scheme.SOLUTION: This invention is particularly well suited for photovoltaic (PV) microinverter applications, and makes installation, operation and maintenance of the system safe and simple. Reliability and lifetime of a converter are improved in a cost effective manner. Microinverter modules 303 are placed in one-to-one proximity to the photovoltaic (PV) modules, each proximate microinverter module 303 incorporating a reduced number of functions and components. Remaining common functions and control are implemented separately. |
