PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat crack evaluation method of a brake disc that uses a small friction tester for the brake disc, and generates a heat crack on the friction surface of the brake disc by devising a test condition and a brake disc shape, and provide an evaluation device therefor.SOLUTION: In a heat crack evaluation method of a brake disc, using a small friction tester for the brake disc, in order to generate a heat crack on the friction surface of the brake disc, a slit is formed on the back face of the brake disc from a circumference toward a center; the brake disc and a lining are frictioned in a predetermined test condition; after the test, the surface of the brake disc is polished; a scar is confirmed on the basis of a fluorescent magnetic powder flaw detection method; its scar portion is cut; and a thermal crack is determined by observing a cross-sectional tissue. |
