PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of shortening an overhead time.SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes: first wiring to which a power supply potential is supplied; second wiring; a switch for controlling electrical connection between the first wiring and the second wiring; a load electrically connected to the second wiring; a transistor whose source and drain are electrically connected to the second wiring; and a power management unit which has a function to control a conduction state of the switch and a function to control the potential of a gate of the transistor. The transistor has a channel forming region in an oxide semiconductor film.
