PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide conductive particles which, when used as conductive particles to be blended in anisotropic conductive adhesive, can achieve low conduction resistance and high insulation reliability, and a method of producing the same.SOLUTION: A conductive particle comprises a resin particle, and a metal layer provided on the surface of the resin particle and comprising nickel. The metal layer comprises a particle having a length in the thickness direction of the metal layer being 4 nm or more and comprising palladium, and has a projection on the external surface.
