PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly sense the presence/absence of a person by limiting a human body sense area of a human body sensor to a necessary range, without being affected by ambient temperature, and to surely attain power-saving without operation of a user. ! SOLUTION: An electric carpet to be electric equipment includes a power source, a controller for controlling the power source, and a human body sensor. A sense area of the human body sensor is set so as to be limited to a predetermined range substantially approximating the shape of the electric carpet. The controller determines ambient temperature from a detection output voltage of the human body sensor, and by feedback control increasing/decreasing the amplification factor of an amplifier varying sensitivity of the human body sensor, even if the ambient temperature changes, the sense area approximates the shape of the electric carpet. !
