PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an elevator quickly and safely move to a nearest floor by estimating magnetic pole position of a permanent magnet type synchronous motor when the elevator fails.SOLUTION: An elevator confinement prevention device includes a permanent magnet type synchronous motor, a speed adjuster, a first rotary encoder which is connected to the permanent magnet type synchronous motor to output a first pulse train according to a three-phase magnetic pole position, a second rotary encoder which is connected to the speed adjuster to output a second pulse train according to rotational angle, a control part which calculates torque and phase angle, and a power converter which supplies the permanent magnet type synchronous motor with a three-phase AC having a voltage that is based on the torque and a phase that is based on the first pulse train. The control part, at normal start up of the first rotary encoder, associates the first pulse train with the second pulse train, and when the first rotary encoder fails, calculates magnetic pole position of the permanent magnet type synchronous motor based on the second pulse train. |
