<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet material binding processing device that binds a sheet material bundle without using any binding member while suppressing an influence of the water content of the sheet material bundle.SOLUTION: A sheet material binding processing device 50 includes a stapleless stapler 52 which binds a form bundle of a plurality of forms S having images formed by an image formation device 1 by forming and pressing thickness-directional unevenness on the form bundle. Pressing force applied to the form bundle by the stapleless stapler 52 is controlled according to printing conditions during the formation of the images on sheet materials. The printing conditions include environmental humidity in the image formation device 1, picture quality of the formed images, a type of forms, both-side printing or one-side printing, etc., and affect a water content of the forms. A sheet material binding processing device 50 like this can control pressing force according to a water content estimated from the printing conditions.</p> |
