<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a drive motor failure while solving a glossiness memory.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a drive motor M3 driving a lower press roller 64 to rotate; a torque generation unit 66 generating a braking force in a direction of preventing rotation of an upper press roller 61 so as to set a speed difference between a surface speed of a fixation belt 62 and that of the lower press roller 64; and a controller 100 adjusting the braking force generated by the torque generation unit 66. The controller 100 controls the torque generation unit 66 to generate a lower braking force if a rotational torque of the drive motor M3 is higher than a set target torque, and controls the torque generation unit 66 to generates a higher braking force if the rotational torque of the drive motor M3 is lower than the set target torque.</p> |
