PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical puncturing device that is easy for a user to manipulate and use while ensuring sterility before use and safe and secure disposal after use.SOLUTION: A lancet device comprises: a housing which defines at least one recess for a control; a shield which is coaxially and movably associated with the housing; and a removable sterile tab member associated with a puncture element disposed within the housing. The shield is movably associated with the housing such that the shield moves from a first position extending outwardly from the housing to a second position at least partially retracted within the housing. The at least one recess for a control includes a recessed surface shape facing a nearly transverse direction, away from an axis which radially passes through the puncture element. |
